L’Impertinent Rouge

A blend of 5 varieties:
30% Syrah, 20% Grenache,
15% Carignan, 15% Cinsault,
20% Mourvèdre

Vinification

Vinified traditionally.
Grapes are hand-harvested at optimum maturity, sorted, destemmed and then crushed.
Raised in tank for 12 months.
Each grape variety is vinified separately and raised accordingly.

Production

50 – 60,000 bottles (75cl).

Tasting notes

A robe of deep ruby and an expressive, charming nose of red fruits and lightly peppered spices.
An honest, mineral-style wine with elegant tannins that enhance its freshness, complexity and balance.

Serving & cellaring

Serve between 15 and 18°C.
Open younger vintages an hour before.
Can be aged for 5 – 8 years.
